Edinburgh’s only Japanese owned and run, Harajuku Restaurant will be re-opening on 28th April, offering al fresco pavement dining for the first time. The Two AA Rosette bistro located in Upper Tollcross will be back to serving its award-winning menu featuring customer favourites including Aubergine katsu curry and Takoyaki.
To ensure the safety of the team and guests, it will be operating the one metre rule in accordance with government guidelines. Rather than using standard issue Perspex screens, owner Kaori Simpson has brought in traditional Japanese shoji screens which will be placed in between tables, along with plenty of hand sanitising stations throughout the restaurant. There will be a Perspex screen at the till area and all staff are required to wear masks and gloves.
The new outdoor seating will be available and can seat between 4 – 6 people while the restaurant can take up to 14 covers.
